VAR told they made a big blunder during Everton vs Chelsea
Everton secured a crucial point over the weekend during their home game against Chelsea at Goodison Park.
The past week has brought early Christmas cheer to Everton supporters, with the long-awaited confirmation of the club’s takeover.
Sean Dyche’s standing as manager has likely been bolstered by the team’s recent performances. A significant victory over Wolves was followed by commendable draws against top-tier opponents Arsenal and Chelsea.
Under the new ownership of The Friedkin Group, Everton is already witnessing positive changes. Dyche has noted an increased sense of stability at the club, marking a new era following the departure of Farhad Moshiri.
However, the Toffees might consider themselves somewhat lucky to have secured a point on Sunday, as a contentious decision appeared to work in their favor.

In Sunday’s game, VAR played a critical role when referee Chris Kavanagh reviewed an incident that involved Christian Norgaard of Brentford. However, this time it was Jordan Pickford who was under scrutiny during Everton’s clash with Chelsea.
While Everton earned their point, not everything went smoothly. Dyche confirmed that Ashley Young sustained an injury during the match, a setback for the team.
Adding to the controversy, former Premier League winger Shaun Wright-Phillips suggested that Pickford was fortunate to escape a red card for his challenge on Malo Gusto in the penalty area. Speaking to Optus Sport, Wright-Phillips expressed his belief that the Everton goalkeeper should have been sent off for the incident.
