Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Newcastle United in the Premier League tonight.

The Red Devils suffered their eighth loss of the top-flight campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road last weekend.

The club are languishing 14th in the table after the result and desperately need a victory ahead of tougher assignments on the road.

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Newcastle United

Andre Onana was beaten from a fine Matheus Cunha corner at the Molineux Stadium, but he should have been more commanding in goal. Despite this, he is expected to start his 57th straight league game for United.

In defence, there could be a solitary change from the Wolves defeat. Leny Yoro could be given a breather. Matthijs de Ligt is likely to partner Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez in the back three.

Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot should continue from the right and left wing-back roles. The latter has lacked consistency but has fared better than Tyrell Malacia under manager Ruben Amorim.

There will be an enforced change in midfield with Manuel Ugarte suspended. Kobbie Mainoo could also drop to the bench. He looked short of pace versus Wolves and was spotted limping after the game.

Casemiro is the natural replacement for Ugarte. Christian Eriksen could come in for Mainoo.

Amad Diallo was far from his best over the weekend but has been the best creative player under Amorim. The Ivory Coast international should continue as one of the attacking midfielders.

Alejandro Garnacho had a good cameo with four chances created. He missed one big scoring opportunity. The Argentine could get the nod to partner Diallo with Bruno Fernandes suspended.

We could see a straight swap up front with Joshua Zirkzee replacing Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund was poor against Wolves with just four completed passes. He won just three out of 12 duels. Zirkzee could get another opportunity to prove his credentials as the main striker.
