TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State University Announces 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class Featuring Seven Legendary Seminoles

Florida State University has officially revealed its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class, recognizing seven exceptional athletes and coaches who left a lasting mark on Seminole sports history. The class spans multiple sports and showcases the university’s rich tradition of athletic excellence. The induction banquet will take place on Friday, September 19, in Tallahassee.

The 2025 inductees include stars from football, basketball, track and field, and baseball, reflecting the diverse and successful athletic legacy of FSU. The ceremony promises to be a night of celebration and remembrance as the university honors those who brought distinction to its programs.

Headlining the class is All-American wide receiver Kenny Shaw, who was a key contributor to the Seminoles’ 2013 national championship football team. Known for his clutch performances and fearless play, Shaw finished his career with 124 receptions and over 1,900 receiving yards.

Joining Shaw is Brooke Wyckoff, a standout in women’s basketball and current head coach of the team. As a player, Wyckoff was a force on both ends of the court, leading FSU to multiple NCAA tournament appearances. Her continued impact on the program as a coach solidifies her place among Seminole greats.

Also being honored is Olympic gold medalist and track and field star Kimberly Williams. A three-time NCAA champion in the triple jump, Williams dominated collegiate competition and went on to represent Jamaica on the world stage, becoming one of the most decorated athletes in FSU history.

From the baseball diamond, former catcher Buster Posey earns his spot in the Hall of Fame. Before going on to win three World Series titles and an MVP award with the San Francisco Giants, Posey was a consensus All-American at FSU, known for his leadership and elite defensive skills.

The 2025 class also features football standout Lamarcus Joyner, who was known for his hard-hitting style and leadership in the secondary. Joyner was a key defensive anchor during the Seminoles’ 2013 title run and later played in the NFL.

Rounding out the group are basketball star Al Thornton and legendary assistant coach Sue Semrau. Thornton was a dominant forward who helped raise the national profile of the men’s basketball program, while Semrau’s contributions as a longtime leader and mentor in women’s basketball helped build a winning culture at FSU.

The 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony will celebrate these individuals’ athletic achievements and their continued impact on Florida State University. Tickets for the induction banquet will be available to the public later this summer.
