DEAL FINALIZED: T.J. McConnell Inks Four-Year, $53 Million Extension with Indiana Pacers Through 2027

McConnell has officially agreed to a contract extension with the Indiana Pacers that will keep him with the franchise through the 2027 season. The four-year deal is worth a total of $53 million and includes a massive $49.65 million signing bonus—all fully guaranteed.

 

The extension will see McConnell earning an average of $13.25 million per season under the new terms. The 32-year-old floor general, known for his relentless energy, gritty defense, and playmaking ability, remains a vital presence in the Pacers’ locker room and on the court.

 

“This organization believed in me when many didn’t,” McConnell said during a press conference following the announcement. “I’ve grown tremendously as both a player and a person here in Indiana, and this is home now. My love for the game, this team, and the city of Indianapolis is why I didn’t hesitate to sign.”
