CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The North Carolina Tar Heels have officially unveiled their 2024–2025 ACC basketball conference schedule, and it’s packed with fierce rivalries, high-stakes road games, and a season finale destined to draw national attention.

The Tar Heels will open conference play on December 7 at home against Georgia Tech, setting the tone early. A challenging January awaits, featuring road trips to Louisville, Notre Dame, and NC State. The Heels will face Syracuse, their rotating home-and-home opponent, and maintain the traditional two-game series with archrival Duke.

The Dean Smith Center will host marquee matchups, including Pittsburgh, Virginia, Miami, and the climactic regular season finale on March 8 against Duke. That game could carry significant postseason implications and will be the team’s fourth home game in a crucial six-game closing stretch.

Notably, UNC won’t host NC State this season—marking the first time since 1919 that the Tar Heels won’t face the Wolfpack in Chapel Hill, a result of the ACC’s new 18-game rotation system.

With a balanced blend of tradition and transition, the upcoming slate presents both challenges and opportunities for Hubert Davis and his squad as they chase another title run.
