BREAKING: Texas Longhorns Crowned Nation’s Top Athletic Program of 2025!

Only School to Win a National Title, Reach Final Four, Women’s College World Series, Softball Regional, and a Bowl Game—An Unprecedented All-Sport Domination

AUSTIN, Texas — June, 2025 — The University of Texas has officially been crowned the nation’s top athletic program for 2025, delivering a year of dominance unmatched in NCAA history. From the gridiron to the diamond, the burnt orange and white proved unstoppable, becoming the only school in the country to achieve a stunning combination of postseason excellence across five major sports.

For the first time in collegiate sports history, a single school has:

✅ Won a National Championship

✅ Reached the Men’s Final Four

✅ Reached the Women’s College World Series

✅ Competed in a Softball Regional

✅ Secured a Bowl Game berth

No other program came close to matching Texas’ all-sport supremacy.

“This is not just a good year—it’s a legendary one,” said Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte. “Our student-athletes, coaches, and fans have written a chapter of history that will never be forgotten. This is what ‘Texas Fight’ looks like across the board.”

The crowning moment came when the Longhorns secured a national title in men’s swimming and diving, pushing Texas over the top in the prestigious Learfield Directors’ Cup standings, which measure overall athletic success across all NCAA sports. Texas surged to the top thanks to powerhouse performances in football, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball, track and field, and more.

The Longhorns’ men’s basketball team powered its way to the Final Four for the first time since 2003, while the women’s softball squad continued its historic run, earning a spot in the Women’s College World Series for the ninth consecutive year—a feat unmatched in the sport.

Texas Football, meanwhile, capped off another strong season with a New Year’s Six bowl game appearance, keeping the Longhorns in the national spotlight and solidifying the program’s return to elite status.

Even in sports where the spotlight is dimmer, the Longhorns shined. Baseball reached Super Regionals, volleyball advanced deep into the NCAA tournament, and track and field produced multiple All-Americans.

This all-sport juggernaut is not just dominating—it’s redefining collegiate athletics.

From the Forty Acres to every arena, stadium, and field across America, the message is clear: Texas is back—and better than ever.

Go Texas. Sports history made in Austin.
