Michigan Football Kickoff Times Set for Opener, Oklahoma Matchup and Four Other Games
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football fans can begin making their fall plans, as kickoff times have officially been announced for six of the Wolverines’ 2025 regular season games, including the season opener, the much-anticipated road matchup against Oklahoma, and several key Big Ten contests.
The Wolverines will open the 2025 season at home against Fresno State on Saturday, August 30, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Michigan Stadium. The game will be broadcast on NBC as part of its primetime college football lineup. It marks the beginning of a new era under head coach Sherrone Moore, who enters his second season at the helm after leading the team to a strong finish last year.
One of the most high-profile games of the season comes in Week 2, when Michigan travels to Norman, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, September 6. Kickoff for that marquee non-conference matchup is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised nationally on ABC. The contest is expected to have significant College Football Playoff implications and will be one of the most-watched games of the early season.
Additional kickoff times announced include:
September 13 vs. Arkansas State: 12:00 p.m. ET (BTN)
October 4 at Washington: 7:00 p.m. ET (FOX)
October 18 vs. Minnesota: 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS)
November 1 vs. USC: 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
Each of these games presents a key storyline in Michigan’s 2025 campaign. The matchup against USC, a fellow Big Ten newcomer, will be played under the lights in the Big House and is expected to be a major draw for fans. Michigan’s first-ever Big Ten trip to Seattle to face Washington also promises to be a test for the Wolverines in a cross-country showdown.
The rest of Michigan’s schedule, including its final regular-season game against archrival Ohio State, will have kickoff times announced at a later date, typically six to 12 days in advance depending on television selections.
With several primetime appearances and a tough slate of opponents, Michigan is once again positioned for a high-profile season. After their 2024 campaign ended just shy of a playoff berth, expectations are high as the Wolverines aim to return to the top of the Big Ten and national championship contention.
