Faizon Brandon, the five-star quarterback from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, continues to make waves in the college football recruiting landscape. Since committing to the Tennessee Volunteers in August 2024, Brandon has not only solidified his status as a top-tier talent but has also emerged as a pivotal figure in Tennessee’s recruiting efforts. Notably, he has been instrumental in recruiting Hattiesburg High School wide receiver Tristen Keys, the No. 1-ranked pass catcher in the 2026 cycle. When North Carolina hired legendary coach Bill Belichick, speculation arose about potential flips. However, Brandon dismissed such notions, stating, “I think hiring him was a good decision by UNC. However, I don’t think I would take a phone call because I am 1000 percent committed to Tennessee.”

Despite accolades like being named North Carolina’s Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Football, Brandon remains focused on improvement. His high school coach, Daryl Brown, noted, “He is not satisfied with where he is at.
