ESPN VERIFIED: Chase Daniel Named Associate Coach for Missouri Tigers Football Program
In a stunning announcement that has sent shockwaves of excitement and nostalgia through the college football world, legendary quarterback Chase Daniel has officially been named an Associate Coach for the University of Missouri Tigers football program. The 38-year-old will serve as Associate Coach, working closely with quarterbacks and offensive strategy. His presence is expected to immediately bolster Missouri’s offensive development and recruiting appeal, especially given his deep ties to the program and respected reputation in professional football circles.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz praised the hire, calling Daniel “a true Tiger through and through” and highlighting his “exceptional knowledge of the game and natural ability to connect with players.”
Daniel’s NFL journey, which included stops with the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Chargers, earned him respect as a reliable and cerebral presence in the quarterback room. He amassed over $40 million in career earnings despite starting just five NFL games, a testament to his preparedness and locker-room value.
