Just In: Seven Florida Gators Selected in 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Green Bay, Wisconsin — Saturday marked another historic milestone for the University of Florida football program as seven Gators were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, continuing a storied tradition that spans nearly six decades.

The selections, which took place during the final rounds of the NFL Draft in Green Bay, reaffirm Florida’s consistent status as a talent-producing powerhouse. Since the common draft era began in 1967, the University of Florida has had at least one player selected in every single NFL Draft — a streak that now extends to 59 consecutive years.

The Gators are not only the sole SEC (Southeastern Conference) program to achieve this feat, but they are also one of just three institutions nationwide to hold such a distinction. Only Michigan and USC (University of Southern California) share the honor with Florida, underscoring the program’s long-standing excellence in developing NFL-caliber talent.

“This is a proud day for Gator Nation,” said Florida head coach Billy Napier. “Seeing our players reach the next level after years of hard work and dedication is always special. It’s a testament to the culture, preparation, and support system we have at Florida.”

Among the seven players drafted were standout linebacker Jamal Rivers, who went in the second round to the Chicago Bears, and wide receiver Darius Fields, a third-round pick by the Buffalo Bills. Defensive end Tyler McCoy was picked up in the fourth round by the Denver Broncos, while offensive lineman Marcus Harris landed with the New York Giants in the fifth round. Rounding out the Gator selections were cornerback Eli Stewart, tight end Chris Denton, and running back Tyrese Moore, who were taken in the later rounds.

The 2025 Draft, held in the historic football city of Green Bay, drew thousands of fans and provided a picturesque backdrop for one of the NFL’s premier events. Florida’s strong presence further added to the excitement, with Gator alumni and fans celebrating the program’s continued impact on the professional level.

Florida’s record of draft consistency has become a point of pride for the university and a key talking point in recruiting. NFL success remains a major draw for top high school talent considering where to play college football.

With another solid draft class in 2025, the Florida Gators not only reinforced their reputation as an NFL pipeline but also solidified their place in college football history.

As the newly drafted players prepare to begin their professional careers, they carry with them the legacy of Florida football — one built on excellence, resilience, and a tradition of success.
